I will walk you through a human body, explaining the basic structure and mechanics of the skeleton and soft tissue. Throughout this presentation, I will give you the opportunity to test movement out on yourselves so that you can learn about your unique physical shape as we do our walk-through together.
Guided yoga practice
Using a mixture of gentle flow, yin and restorative yoga, you will have the chance to bring what you've learned into your awareness as you practise. I will guide you through movement and encourage you to feel your way into it, allowing you to distance yourself from how you think you 'should' be moving, and instead experience an embodied practice where you move to serve your body.
30-minute Q&A session
We leave time for Q&A so that you can ask any questions you have or share what you experienced whilst you were practising.
I will be sharing the slide notes with you so that you can keep the content and look through the information if you would like to refresh your memory later on.
From bones to muscles, tendons, ligaments and everything in between, your body is unique to you. Your body structure partnered with your daily activities influences the way you move.
With theory and practical application, you will leave this workshop knowing more about your individual body structure, and will have experienced how to adapt your movement to suit how your body is built, and what it needs.
This 2.5 hour workshop will introduce you to how unique you are. We are all constructed differently and, as a result, we all move differently.
