Ever wonder why your hips settle easily in certain poses but feel so uncomfortable in others?

I spent many frustrated years on this question, and countless classes willing my hips and legs to move a certain way despite the injury that I was causing myself and the pain that I was experiencing.

I never realised how important it was to understand the structure of my hips and how individual they are to me.

So in this quick tutorial, I share with you a few simple facts about how you are uniquely built, and I give you the opportunity to experiment with your own hips by guiding you through two typical seated yoga poses.

I hope you find this helpful!

Are your hips internally
or externally rotated?
And why does
it matter?

My gift to you

Functional Yoga teacher, artist, animal and nature-lover, tea-drinker, amateur musician and Portuguese/French/British cultural hybrid.

Now living in the Wild West of Ireland, I teach online from my little cottage.

Restorative, Yin, Slow Flow Yoga and Mindfulness are my specialities, which I teach with body awareness - a key aspect of practising functionally. At the core of this approach is experiencing and recognising that every body is different and responds uniquely to particular movements, poses and the practice overall.

Moving with the body and not against it provides a freedom and peace which is felt in the whole being - body, mind and soul.

It's worked for me. Let me share it with you :)
